Exclusive! ‘Hari Kathe Alla Giri Kathe’ is a dream come true for me: Director Giri Krishna

After the success of ‘Bell Bottom’, actor-director Rishba Shetty got busy as an actor in the Kannada film industry as he got many offers. Now, he has signed another new movie in Kannada, which is directed by Giri Krishna. The movie is titled ‘Hari Kathe Alla Giri Kathe’ and produced under Rishab Shetty’s production house. Director Giri Krishna is making his directorial debut with this movie and he exclusively spoke to ETimes about his difficult journey in the Kannada film industry.
Giri said, “I had been dreaming about this, and now the dream has come true. I don't have any background for coming to the film industry. I always had a doubt about directing a movie and started acting. Being a simple man without any influence, if I reach the goal I thought I will become a role model for everyone who is struggling. Now, the day has come and I will do my best.”
Talking about ‘Hari Kathe Alla Giri Kathe’, Giri said, “I wanted people to remember the character, not their names, it’s because the character and the story demand that. Later, we changed the story according to Rishab Shetty’s suggestions. All scriptwriters in Rishab Shetty’s team had read the script and gave me good reviews. I used to take all the good and bad reviews and adapt accordingly. The story of the movie has both comic and serious shades.”
Talking about Rishab’s character, the director said, “Rishab Shetty will be appearing the way he did in his earlier movies which had comic and action shades. There are so many main characters in the movie, and Rishab Shetty's character is one of them. We are yet to select all the characters in the movie. I have almost 10 people in mind for every character in the movie and will finalise after meeting them. Most of the shooting will be held in Bangalore. I had a plan to reveal the title very differently. But, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we had to reveal the title to keep the audience engaged. I have been working in the industry for a long time, and my hard work has been justified by this project and I am very much happy.”
‘Hari Kathe Alla Giri Kathe’ is produced under Sandesh Production and Rishabh Shetty Films. The team has also called for auditions for female lead roles. The shooting is expected to start soon.
